Every year on July 25, we celebrate National Hire A Veteran Day – a day dedicated to reminding employers why it’s important to consider veterans when filling open positions.
In light of these unprecedented times, we are seeing positive growth with veteran employment. In 2019, the veteran unemployment rate was 3.1%, which is the lowest it has been in 19 years. And according to the U.S. Department of Labor, in June 2020, the veteran unemployment rate was 8.8%, down from 9.1% the month prior.
