National Hire a Veteran Day 2020

As a certified veteran-owned business, Exegistics understands the attributes military veterans bring to the workplace. Who wouldn’t want to hire someone who comes with the essential skills that can address daily challenges and the ability to take charge when needed?

Every year on July 25, we celebrate National Hire A Veteran Day – a day dedicated to reminding employers why it’s important to consider veterans when filling open positions.

In light of these unprecedented times, we are seeing positive growth with veteran employment. In 2019, the veteran unemployment rate was 3.1%, which is the lowest it has been in 19 years. And according to the U.S. Department of Labor, in June 2020, the veteran unemployment rate was 8.8%, down from 9.1% the month prior.

Many of the character traits of military service members – loyalty, integrity, a drive to succeed and a fierce work ethic – are core values of Exegistics,

“As a former Marine Corps Officer, I understand and appreciate the value of Veterans in the workplace, and the outstanding attributes they bring to any organization,” said Exegistics Founder/CEO and retired Marine Corps Captain Stephen Olds. “As an entrepreneur, I feel a sense of responsibility to be part of the solution. I’m glad other businesses are taking notice and realizing that hiring a veteran is not only a good idea, it’s good business.”
