EY today announced that Stephen Olds, Founder and CEO of Exegistics, is a finalist for the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019 Award in the Midwest.

A former Marine Corps Officer, Olds founded Exegistics in 2008 as a third-party logistics (3PL) and supply chain company. Today, the Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) is transforming the industry by delivering value-added solutions that exceed the expectations of high-growth customers.

Widely considered one of the most prestigious business awards programs in the U.S., the EY program recognizes entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities, while also transforming our world.

“We have developed our entire company culture around the responsibility and determination to complete any task or mission as communicated, which we learned in the military,” says Olds. “True to our roots, we believe in creating opportunities for veterans by helping them translate and transfer military skills/experience into civilian job responsibilities. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.”

Olds was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 12, 2019 at Navy Pier in Chicago.

“I am honored to be included among the impressive entrepreneurs considered for what business owners consider one of the most prestigious awards in the country,” adds Olds.  “Past winners of this award have inspired the way I build Exegistics and I know the new relationships I make with fellow finalists will lead to positive change in the future.”

Now in its 33rd year, the program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities and more than 60 countries throughout the world.

Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National competition. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in on November 16, 2019.
